CAMP NEWS 2016
August 18th, 2016: Our last group of campers for the summer has left which comes with mixed feelings. It has been a long and exciting summer as we welcomed 596 campers and 78 CITs to Camp Lookout. Unfortunately summer is winding down and the staff needs to return to the real world. The staff did an amazing job all summer to provide a unique, fun, and rewarding summer to the children. The trees will be very quiet at Camp Lookout until July 2017. Congratulations to our raffle winners: SG of Canastota who won the Water Safari tickets, EV of Canastota who won the boy's bicycle, DM of Oneida who won the girl's bicycle, and SR who won the fishing pole.

August 3rd, 2016: We hosted another successful night with our Board of Directors and invited guests. Everyone enjoyed a great meal together, the campers presented our guests with special Camp Lookout postcards, and we had a brief board meeting. The message of our mission was evident throughout the evening. Special thanks to our Board of Directors for their ongoing support.

July 31st, 2016: We have passed our half way point of the summer already with three weeks of campers left. All three weeks are scheduled to be full and we are looking forward to all of the campers enjoying a unique experience. The summer has been hot and dry and will hopefully stay that way. This upcoming week will also busy with guests as the Cazenovia Rotary group, who has "adopted" the Arts and Crafts building, will join us for dinner on Monday and our Camp Board of Directors will have their August meeting at camp on Wednesday.

July 12th, 2016: Camp Lookout is into its second week of campers. The first week went very smoothly with 86 campers. The new staff adjusted well, the experienced staff led the way, and everyone had a great week. This week we have 92 campers and so far everything is going great. The trees are once again shaking with joy.

May 28th, 2016: Camp is starting to come together thanks in part to a large group of Morrisville Eaton students who volunteered on Friday and Saturday. They accomplished a lot of prep work for the summer.

April 27th, 2016: Most of the camper forms have been received. We will be mailing out waiting list letters to try to fill up and balance all of the weeks this summer. Once they are returned we will be ready to mail out final camper and CIT assignments and paperwork by the end of May. We are still in need of a few more CITs for the summer. We also still have staff openings for 17+ year olds.

March 13th, 2016: Camper forms have been distributed to the school nurses throughout the county. CIT information was mailed this weekend to:

returning CITs from last summer

Guidance counselors from throughout the county
