CAMP NEWS 2015
August 22nd, 2015: Thanks to the campers, CITs, and staff for an excellent summer. We have closed up our part of camp and now the rentals take over through September. Congratulations to our raffle winners: JB of Bouckville who won the girls bicycle, JB of Eaton who won the boys bicycle, JC of Erieville who won the sleeping bag, and KS of Bridgeport who won the fishing pole.

August 18th, 2015: Some of our favorite past counselors have joined ths staff for the last week to help with closing including Brandon Episcopo, Adam Gates, Kelli Vachon, and Kyle Vachon. It is always great to catch up with past staff members and see them in action again.

August 15th, 2015: Getting ready for our last week of campers for the summer. It has been a great summer with a strong staff and beautiful weather. We will end up with well over 600 campers and 85 different CITs joining us this summer. It will definitely be a sad week for the staff as we prepare to close down the camp and return to the real world.

August 6th, 2015: Last night we held our annual Board of Directors dinner at camp with all of the children. We had 30 guests including representatives from the Lizard Charity Car Show and Frontier Communications joining our Board of Directors and their special guests. We had a great time and the children shared their butterflies addressing the impact that Camp Lookout has had on them for the guests to take home with them.

July 12th, 2015: The first week of camp went great. We had 92 campers and the staff did a great job. We are looking forward to the rest of the summer and all of the campers to come.

June 29th, 2015: The camp staff will be moving in for training week. We have 9 new counselors along with new support staff this summer so training week will be very important. Putting the final touches on the physical plant, planning the program areas for the summer, and getting excited about that first group of campers on July 5th.

June 6th, 2015...Another very successful Community Clean Up Day. It actually started on Wednesday when Frontier Communications had over 30 employees at Camp Lookout as part of their community outreach program. They accomplished a lot of work and donated blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, and toiletries. Then a huge turnout Saturday from the Tioughnioga and Stockbridge Valley Ruritans, the Morrisville Leos (for round 3), and current and past staff members (with some of their children). The tipis are up, camp is mowed, the kitchen and cabins have been cleaned, trails have been woodchipped and raked...camp is looking great and we are very excited for the start of another summer. THANKS to everyone for the help!
